Description:

This unit explores teaching senior school courses within the Social Sciences. Its focus will be contemporary Year 11 and Year 12 curriculum documents. Participants will develop a working knowledge of the underlying principles and strategies that deal with: achieving appropriate learning outcomes, teaching-learning resources, assessments, and long term planning strategies for the Social Sciences. Students will focus on one of the following senior secondary teaching areas: Economics; Geography; History; Ancient History; & Politics and Law.
