Description:

In this unit students will develop an understanding of their roles and responsibilities as a science teacher and professional. Topical issues in contemporary science education will be explored while building an understanding of the use of evidence in science learning and teaching. A focus is placed on conceptual change models and strategies for developing understanding of the content strands of the lower secondary school curricula. Activities in this unit will build students knowledge of their professional responsibilities as a science teacher and facilitator of student learning.
