This unit examines the rationale and objectives for secondary science learning and teaching. It will develop knowledge of the lower secondary school science curricula and an understanding of effective pedagogy. The unit is designed to allow students to explore the nature of scientific inquiry and develop their understanding of the process of science as well as strengthen their skills in handling laboratory equipment likely to be used in lower secondary science classes.
