A range of topical issues in science education are analysed in this unit and may include the evolutionary nature of scientific knowledge, scientific methods, science for global sustainability and the secondary school curricula. Students will develop depth of understanding in a topic of their choice while building an understanding of the use of evidence in science learning and teaching. Activities in this unit will build students knowledge of their professional responsibilities as a science teacher and facilitator of student learning. Full Unit Outline | |||
