This unit introduces students to the legal system in Australia in general, and Western Australia in particular. It explores the interaction between law and psychology. Students will develop competencies in applying psychological theory and techniques to legal questions in the investigatory, evidentiary and disposition stages of the criminal justice system. Students will also develop skills in conducting legal research. The unit also covers some areas of administrative law relevant to criminal justice. Full Unit Outline | |||
