PSY7130 Treatment of Psychological Disorders in Children

Description:

This unit provides training in the diagnosis, clinical assessment and treatment of psychological disorders in children.  Students are trained in providing clinical psychology services within a developmental framework and to conceptualise psychological problems from a developmental perspective. The unit equips students with skills in working with children from infancy through adolescence and with the differing clinical needs across that age range.  The unit also equips students with skills in providing evidence-based psychotherapy and case formulation, emphasising the therapeutic alliance, to children with a range of psychological problems.
