PSY7126 Clinical Assessment and Therapy Skills

Description:

This unit introduces students to both clinical assessment (including psychological testing) and clinical interventions (primarily cognitive behavioural therapies) in psychological practice.  The unit equips students with skills in assessing clients, and familiarises students with theories and principles underlying common psychological tests and measures. The unit also equips students with skills in applying evidence-based psychotherapy and case formulation, emphasising the therapeutic alliance, motivational interviewing and the conceptualisation and treatment of anxiety and depression.
