ECS4260 Professional Engagement in Early Childhood Education

Description:

This unit examines leadership, policy development, current reforms and employment documentation to prepare students for a smooth transition into the early childhood teaching profession (0-8 years). Students will explore current research and apply an interpretive lens to build their capacity to respond to current reforms. Students will investigate transition to the workplace issues during embedded days in Professional Learning contexts. Students will also engage in ongoing dialogue and reflective practice that will culminate in the development of a professional e-portfolio that addresses the AITSL graduate outcomes and showcases students’ achievements.
