Description:

This unit deals with the development of mathematics experiences for children in an early childhood (K/P – 3) setting, as outlined in current mathematics curriculum documents. Students will explore strategies for planning, managing and assessing (including National testing) children’s learning of mathematics, with attention to the diversity of cultural backgrounds and the importance of positive home–school partnerships.
