SPS4128 Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation

Description:

This unit is designed to provide the strength and conditioning specialist with an understanding of the rehabilitation of common musculoskeletal sporting injuries. Students will learn practical and theoretical aspects of exercise rehabilitation by undergoing 100 practicum hours. Emphasis will be made on the transition between acute management and exercise commencement, to long term management as part of the strength and conditioning plan. Aspects of programming to minimise and prevent injury will be covered.
