SPS5302 Quantitative Methods in Biomechanics

Description:
This unit is designed to provide the student with the quantitative skills required in the area of Biomechanics. An emphasis will be upon those methods which are routinely used in the analysis of sports techniques, aetiology and rehabilitation of sports injuries. Such methods include videography, electromyography and dynamometry. The processes that are required to obtain such data are also discussed. The knowledge and skills will enable students to conduct independent scientific study in addition to critically assessing quantitative methods used in the related literature.
