Description:

Upset recovery training is an essential part of pilot training. This unit teaches the student recovery techniques should an aircraft enter into an unusual attitude. Upset recovery may be more challenging at night time if there is no outside visual horizon for a pilot to use as a reference to aid in the recovery process. Night circuits are included in this unit as in the period immediately after take off, when a pilot transitions from looking outside during the take-off run to scanning instruments during the climb, somatogravic illusions can occur. This unit includes up to 14 hours of flying and up to 1.0 hours of simulated flight.

Note: To enrol in this unit students must have already completed or be enrolled full time in the ECU Bachelor of Aviation course.
