IAS1110 Introduction to Desktop Publishing for Indigenous Services

Description:
The focus of this unit is to introduce the students to the concept of theory and application of design and layout of documents with respect to a working environment typically in an organisation. Software packages such as Microsoft Publisher will be taught to help the students to explore, create and view information design for different media including paper based and electronic media. The unit also aims at teaching students to present organisation information effectively through the use of presentation package such as Microsoft PowerPoint. The unit encourages students to design, present and use the application of information technology in an Indigenous-working environment.
