This unit examines planning, organisation and control of office systems and services, communication and information management and the resources and facilities of the work environment, including office and workplace automation, technologies, safety and security. This unit also emphasises the relevance of these issues and ideas to successful workplace management in organisations providing services to Indigenous people. This unit promotes both a management and systems perspective in relation to the functions of administrative workplace management.
