19013 Environment and Other Considerations
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS

Description:

This module is designed to provide participants with knowledge of all the variable factors that can have an impact upon their safety and effectiveness as a worker in the building and construction industry.

It is important to note that this unit is one of four (19010, 19011, 19012 and 19013) that together form 51466 Course in Safety Awareness Training. This course has been developed as an 'enabling course' copyright to the Western Australian Department of Education and Training that is provided for workers as a permit to enter and carry out work on building and construction sites. In industry it is nicknamed the 'Blue Card'.

This WAAPA course is customised to specific areas of the Building and Construction industry so that all Production and Design students of the six steams of Costume, Lighting, Design, Stage Management, Sound and Props and Scenery qualify 'job-ready' with a Blue Card to work backstage in Australia. At WAAPA these four units are delivered with the VET unit CUFSAF01B Follow health, safety and security procedures.
