CRI5203 Legal Processes in Child Protection

Description:

This unit explores how the law and its agents have perceived children historically and currently.  Relevant areas of law are examined such as criminal law and family law.  Students also consider the legal position of key agencies including the police, lawyers and justice workers who intervene in abusive and neglectful families.  This unit provides the legal basis for protecting children.
