SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
Credit Points: 15
Prerequisites:
ESC5000 Essential Science Concepts for Teaching

Description:
This unit will position lower secondary science curricula against some of the more advanced senior school content knowledge desirable for good teaching in the lower secondary school. In doing this, the unit will also refresh and consolidate the conceptual understandings needed for teaching in this learning area, and students will also be familiarised at higher levels with the science learning area of the Curriculum Framework for Western Australia. The unit is designed to allow students to explore the nature of scientific inquiry and to develop their understanding of the process of science.
