Description:
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to specify, fit and operate radio microphones and in-ear wireless monitors for any production within the cultural industries. As such it includes the requirement for a sound knowledge of the particular technical and production issues that impact on radio microphone operation plus the interpersonal skills to work with performers. This unit goes beyond the basic skills required to attach a microphone to a single performer/presenter to encompass the skills and knowledge needed to use a range of radio microphone technology in a production and to manage spectrum.
