Credit Points: 15
Prerequisites:
SCE5110 Teaching Physics 1

Description:
This unit emphasises the need for teachers to improve the level of scientific literacy in school students and addresses the particular difficulties related to teaching complex abstract concepts. Students will use the developmental nature of physics concepts to plan strategies that assist school students in their learning, as well as developing and using strategies to enhance ongoing concept development. Assisting students to grapple with the large theories of physics is difficult and requires a considered approach. This unit will help teachers develop the skills and practice to teach these areas.
