Description:
The purpose of this unit is to empower students with the necessary strategies and skills specific to the teaching of physics at a secondary level. The unit introduces students to methods for increasing the level of scientific literacy in school students using physics as a medium. Students will be introduced to the developmental nature of physics concepts and of the learning of physics concepts as well as developing and using strategies to enhance concept development. Students will also have the chance to develop their understanding of the nature and purpose of assessment as it applies to the teaching of physics.
