| The purpose of this unit is to consolidate students' knowledge of the science learning area of the Australian Curriculum and the curriculum materials available for lower secondary science. The unit is designed to allow students to explore scientific investigations and to familiarise them with the numeracy and literacy in the science classroom. The unit also examines the use of ICT in the science classroom. The unit emphasises a conceptual understanding of the principles of the social constructivist approach to science instruction, discourse management and assessment. Full Unit Outline | |||
