This unit focuses on the health aspects of occupational health and safety, primarily on the prevention and management of common acute and chronic occupational diseases. Students will develop pre-employment and ongoing medical screening and biological monitoring protocols, and will integrate occupational hygiene and occupational health data to accurately assess health risks in a work environment.
