Description:

This unit focuses on examining the variety of contexts in which people operate. To this end, systems theory will be taught as it is used to systematically outline the relationships between the individual and their family, communities, organisations, institutions and societies. Cultural psychology theory and ways of working with various communities will also be introduced. The unit also teaches principles of community psychology through a diverse range of strategies including case study methodology.
