Description:

This practicum issues unit emphasises the integration of community psychology theory and practice. The unit facilitates the acquisition of practical skills relating to community psychology practice under the supervision of a suitably qualified professional. The unit develops amongst students an awareness of the range of issues relating to community psychology practice and encourages the development of microskills through working in the areas of counselling, groupwork, conflict management and negotiation skills as they relate to community psychology.
