Description:

In this unit students are introduced to the philosophical, historical, and theoretical underpinnings of community psychology. The unit also presents some of the ethics and values that guide the application of community psychology principles to real-world communities with respect to community development; community action; and community support for subgroups such as migrants and the elderly. Finally, the unit critically examines emerging issues in the field of community psychology.
