Description:

Project Management involves varied stakeholder groups. Successful communication among the various stakeholders in a project plays a crucial role in effective project management. This unit examines the processes and resources required for successful project communications management. The project communications management processes:

  • planning;
  • information distribution;
  • performance reporting; and
  • stakeholder management.

 

Students will be introduced to the inputs required for each of these processes, the tools and techniques for managing them and the outputs that would facilitate the timely and appropriate collection, storage, retrieval and dissemination of project information. Throughout the project communications management unit, there is a practical emphasis on working with the tools and techniques via a series of laboratory/tutorial exercises.
