MAN5702 Project Cost Management

Description:
The aim of this unit is to provide an in-depth understanding of project cost management. Students explore the three principle costing stages of estimating, budgeting and actual costing. Cash flow forecasting, project scope management, variance analysis and earned value calculations are also examined. The unit explains how to effectively control project cost through project lifecycle costing methods and how flexible work breakdown structures can be utilised to manage budgets and costs for projects of varying sizes. The financial consequences of project costing procedures are also explained. The unit contains an in-depth review of the costing processes explained in the Project of Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) version 4.
