ICT4708 Computer-Mediated Communication and Learning

Description:

The teaching and learning activities in this unit focus on topics related to constructivist learning via computer-mediated communication (CMC).  At the end of the unit, participants will be able to explain and elaborate on the different roles of the teachers and students in a CMC learning environment, to identify the technical and pedagogical skills necessary and sufficient for teachers and students to take up these roles successfully, and to design and develop CMC lessons that are based on sound pedagogical foundation.
