ECM4101 Early Childhood Mathematics

Description:

This unit is available in both on-campus and residency modes of study. It introduces pre-service teachers to the basic philosophy and fundamental ideas of early mathematics education for all children. In this unit, the focus is on the early development of concepts, skills of mathematics.  The role of the educator in the development of positive attitudes to mathematics will be emphasised. Pedagogical practices for the effective learning of mathematics will be addressed.
