| This unit is an introduction to education policy studies which is designed to enhance the practitioner’s understanding of school-level policy-making so that they may increase their effective participation. The social, political and organisational contexts of the policy process and the competing conceptual frameworks are considered in the examination of contemporary education policy issues. The contribution of international, national and state level authorities and pressure groups to educational policy-making are considered.
