EDS2102 Classroom Management and Motivation

Description:
This unit on classroom management intends to develop your skills that will enable you to be an effective behaviour manager of secondary students.  This unit examines the theory and practices of effective classroom management in secondary schools.  Detailed attention is given to different theories of human behaviour and their application to management strategies.  The development of positive relationships, students' self-esteem and dignity are examined and emphasised within an intercultural setting.  The development of practical skills to prevent and respond appropriately to inappropriate behaviour is integral to this unit.  The application of this knowledge and skill is encouraged and supervised in teaching practice experiences.
