EDL3300 Assessment and Evaluation of Learning

Description:
This unit focuses on applying understandings of teaching and learning to assessment and evaluation processes. The unit examines personal and professional beliefs in relation to assessment, evaluation, curriculum organisation and development. The unit covers both formal and informal assessment and evaluation as part of the planning and implementation cycle of teaching and learning. Processes used for assessment and evaluation across the age range 4-12 years are critically analysed using current theoretical and practical perspectives. The aim of the unit is to provide a knowledge based approach to assessment and evaluation of children's learning in the 4-12 age range in diverse settings.
