Description:
In this practical studio unit, students will be introduced to a range of textiles media, processes and technologies – from traditional to digital - with a view to developing proficiency and confidence. Design concepts will be examined and interpreted through the textile medium using print, dyeing, stitch and various construction techniques. The regional and historical development of textile forms will be examined along with the educational value of textiles studio practice.
