NMH0101 Mental Health Nursing Theory

Prerequisites:
Previous completion of a recognised mental health nursing qualification leading to registration (Division 1) with the Nurses Board of Western Australia (or equivalent).
 
Description:

This unit examines concepts relating to mental health nurses and nursing care in hospital and community settings. Students will explore key elements of mental health nursing theory that are essential for renewal of registration, including assessment of clients, psychopathology, treatment modalities, models of care and medico-legal issues.
