Description:

Leadership is a fundamental part of professional development in any field - business, government, sporting, cultural or not-for-profit. This unit encourages students to consider the concept of leadership, through examining the difference between leadership and management, theories of leadership, styles of leadership, ethics in leadership, leading diverse workforces, and leading in times of change. Students are also helped to develop their skills in areas such as negotiation, communication, collaboration and coaching through reflection on practical activities in classes, assignments and life experience, in the workplace or elsewhere. Students do not need to be in employment.
