MUS1308 Jazz Improvisation 1
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS

Description:

Basic jazz improvisation techniques are studied in this unit in order to develop the student’s facility in the technical and stylistic aspects of improvisation. Ensemble repertoire will be used to provide a basis for these improvisations, with both harmonic and rhythmic aspects of improvisation being considered.
