IAS1101 Skills for Tertiary Learning

Description:
This unit explores those techniques, skills, mechanisms and attributes that support and encourage effective learning. The unit is designed to encourage students to reflect on, monitor and control the learning process as they progress through the course and in the workplace. Students will develop their skills for university study including learning strategies, oral and written communication skills, research skills, critical thinking and assignment writing strategies. The unit aims to incorporate information technology as an aid to the learning process. These skills are taught concurrently in other units.
