PTY5102 Communication for Physiotherapists

Description:

In this unit, students will learn about the various forms of effective communication with an emphasis on interpersonal communication and the variety of written communication styles commonly used in professional physiotherapy practice. They will examine disorders in communication and learn of strategies and resources to enhance communication in these circumstances. In addition, students will cover topics on motivational interviewing, coaching, and conflict resolution. Cultural competence in communication will underpin the unit.
