This unit investigates literature broadly with topics that may change from year to year.  It may focus on generic forms such as short fiction; socio-cultural issues such as power and gender in topics such as "Australian Women’s Writing"; or the work of an individual writer.  Alternatively, it may focus on geographic connections such as "Australia– China Literary Connections". Each new area will generate its particular descriptors, learning outcomes, teaching and learning processes for the semester in which it is taught.
