The Major in Children and Family Studies is a specialised Major consisting of seventeen units (270 Credit Points) adopting the frameworks of human rights and social inclusion. It equips students with knowledge and skills of working in leadershp positions with children, families and communities in a range of fields. These fields include early education and care, family support, parent education and policy and service development. This Major includes practical placement components and is designed to allow students to combine it with a minor in their area of interest. This major is also offered as part of a double major with psychology. The major is accredited with the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority and the Australian Community Workers Association. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
