L53 Graduate Diploma in Mental Health

Students are required to successfully complete 120 credit points (six units).  The aim of the Graduate Diploma of Mental Health is to provide the opportunity for mental health clinicians to develop the knowledge, skills and clinical competencies required to deliver quality mental healthcare.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are required to hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Nursing degree or an acceptable equivalent, be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have a minimum of one year post-registration experience or equivalent.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Students are required to successfully complete 120 credit points (six units) in either a full-time or part-time study mode. Students will need to undertake clinical placements as a part of the requirements of this course.

 

Students are required to demonstrate that they are able to gain experience within different mental health practice settings throughout the duration of this course.
