MABUUN  Mobile Application Development Major

This unit set is available in the following courses:

The unit set will be offered as a major in the Bachelor of Computer Science (U65) course and consists of 120 credit points (eight units). This unit set prepares students for employment in a software development role, specialising in the development of applications for mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets. It introduces design principles for computation and communication using devices that are small and have limited resources, and yet are mobile, location aware, and provide connectivity.

The applications make use of wireless connectivity, web and cloud services, location awareness and specialised sensors. Graduates will be able to analyse, design and develop applications using these capabilities for a variety of mobile devices, including applications that support business needs, social networking, and mobile gaming.

Mobile devices are becoming ubiquitous in modern society, with application in social interaction, gaming and business.
