The unit set will be offered as a major in the Bachelor of Computer Science (U65) course and consists of 120 credit points (eight units). This unit set prepares students for employment in a software development role, specialising in the development of applications for mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets. It introduces design principles for computation and communication using devices that are small and have limited resources, and yet are mobile, location aware, and provide connectivity.
The applications make use of wireless connectivity, web and cloud services, location awareness and specialised sensors.
