SCC2301 Forensic and Analytical Chemistry

This unit considers the composition and function of the earth's major environmental components: the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere. Air and water quality and pollution are addressed in detail. Electrochemical techniques (such as voltammetry) and other analytical techniques (such as atomic absorption spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography and inductively coupled plasma) and their applications to the environmental field are discussed.
