Description:

This unit will focus on Indigenous Australian leaders past and present. The concept of leadership will be explored in the context of the challenges and cultural, economic and technological changes introduced following invasion and the colonisation of the diversity of Indigenous nations and peoples. Students will be expected to evaluate how various leaders have been, and are being, portrayed in texts and print, especially by the various biographical and political records of mainstream society.
