Description:
This unit provides the foundation for theory and practice in midwifery. Students adopt an enquiry-based learning approach to explore, analyse and demonstrate understanding of the theoretical concepts that underpin midwifery practice when caring for women anticipating an uncomplicated pregnancy, labour, birth and postpartum. Students engage in reflective practice to build and refine the requisite knowledge, skill and attitudes for beginning midwifery practice.
