Description:
This unit examines the concept of pain as a complex anatomical, physiological and psychosocial state. Current theories on pain neurophysiology are complemented by clinical illustrations to enable the student to critically analyse the physiological, anatomical and psychological basis of pain and the full spectrum of pain management options available to palliative care patients.
