ADS3458 Addiction Studies: Preventive Practice

Description:
This unit focuses on how illegal drugs are controlled at international and national levels and contrasts the issues between developed and developing nations.  An examination of the history of the global control of tobacco is used to identify the lessons it provides for the control of other drugs. The unit completes the student’s understanding of the national and international implications of adopting a harm minimisation approach to reducing drug-related harm.
