HOS2115 Hospitality and Tourism Marketing
Credit Points: 15

This unit examines marketing as it specifically applies to the hospitality and tourism industries. The global hospitality and tourism ‘product’ provides for a unique services-based marketing environment. Strategic marketing strategy application covering branding, packaging, internal marketing, segmentation and research considerations is addressed.

The unique nature of the service encounter in hospitality operations and high dependency on the tourism dollar (visitation and spend) will be applied to a number of different marketing concepts, in particular to the unique nature of service consumption and tourist destination selection.
