Description:

This unit enables students to further develop their knowledge of homeostatic mechanisms and the pathophysiological basis of health disorders or injuries relevant to a paramedic working in the area of primary health care. An examination of maladaptations to physiological dimensions of health and its relationship to clinical decision making will be explored. In addition cultural, legal and ethical implications in relation to clinical practice within the specialty will be considered.
