Description:

In this unit students explore the contemporary use of media in Australia and Japan. Media forms such as newspapers, websites, magazines, TV programs and social media are analysed and discussed in class. Topics such as the history of the media in Japan, manga and anime and the rise of the internet are the source material from which students develop their Japanese language skills. A feature of this unit is the production of a TV broadcast where students create a short piece that demonstrates their understanding of Japanese language and culture.
